The New York Giants won the World Series in a stunning victory over the Boston Red Sox.
But the New England Patriots weren’t done.
They also beat the New Orleans Saints, which also made it to the Super Bowl.
Now that’s a big-time deal!

“You win because we put ourselves in position to win and we were able to win it in the Superdome.”
New England beat the Patriots in six games last year and this season the Patriots have been the defending champion for three straight years.
But this was a different year.
The Patriots had to travel to New Orleans, which is the home of the Saints, to face the team that won the title last year.
New England won the game, 38-28, to make the playoffs for the first time since 2005.
The game was broadcast live on CBS and ESPN in the New Year’s Day weekend.
Fans were able the first New England game since the 2009 season.
In the end, it’s the Patriots that should be most proud.
In the Superbowl last year, the Patriots beat the San Francisco 49ers in overtime, the third straight time they’ve come back from a three-point deficit.
The last time the Patriots were so close was in 2006.
“It’s not just the championship that’s important.
It’s the Super bowl,” Stults said.
“We were in position for a championship and it was the culmination of everything we worked so hard for and that’s the most important thing.”
We can’t take anything for granted.
“The Patriots have a chance to win the Superbowl again this year, which starts Dec. 1.
They’ll have to beat the Houston Texans to get there.
But Stults believes the team can do it.”
The players, we can’t give up,” Stutes said.
