“Lisas Beauty Salon” opened its doors in 1988 in the heart of Los Angeles, California.

A long line of well-dressed ladies stood waiting to get in, and as a new owner, Diane and Roberta Silliman decided that it was time to make something special.

“We just wanted a place where you could feel comfortable and confident,” Diane told me.

“They weren’t just looking for a place to be, they were looking for someone to share their life with.”

Diane was inspired by “A Perfect Woman,” by Gail Sheehy, and wanted to create her own book that reflected the same philosophy.

She wanted to bring the same kind of empowering, uplifting, and uplifting experiences to the world, but with a distinctly modern twist.
